- SMU-X wins prestigious Triple E Awards for innovation and employability. SMU-X introduces X-Scent, a collaboration with perfume label "Scent by SIX" in its inaugural INDEX Symposium in 2023
- At its inaugural INDEX symposium, SMU-X unveiled X-Scent, a collaboration with the Singaporean artisanal perfume label "Scent by SIX". With the tagline "Turning possibilities into realities," the fragrance embodies the spirit of dreaming big, reaching for the stars, and believing that anything is possible. Each symposium participant received a complimentary bottle of the perfume. Additionally, the perfume was sold for $50, with all proceeds going to the SMU-X Opportunity Award. This award supports financially needy students who require funding to participate in transformative projects abroad through the SMU-X overseas (SMU-XO) courses.

- In February 2018, the inaugural International Speaker Series Dialogue took place in Mumbai, India, drawing over fifty participants, including entrepreneurs, business community members, government officials, and SMU alumni. Hosted by the postgraduate career services team of the Dato' Kho Hui Meng Career Centre (DKHMCC), the session was themed "Winning the War for Talent." It focused on how corporations and start-ups can attract the right talent to achieve their business goals and enhance their appeal to high-potential individuals.

Mr Kevin Koh, was invited to share insights into how SMU equips students with innovation and entrepreneurship skills through various strategic initiatives and programmes, including the award-winning SMU-X programme in a discussion panel on "The Future of Entrepreneurship and Engagement in Higher Education".
