Wharton-SMU Research Centre Agreement
- Signing ceremony held on 10 June 1999 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel to establish the Wharton-Singapore Management University Research Centre. Agreement with SCCI
- A group of Singapore Management University undergraduates organise SMUās first student-run service project, Project Primate. As part of the community service module in their leadership and team building course, they adopted a baby Sumatran orang utan from the Singapore Zoological Gardens and raised funds for wildlife conservation. The students are shown here at the zoo with their āadopteeā and its mother, Ah Meng, in June 2001.

BSI received grant from Civil Service College on 11 May 2010
- The newly-established Behavioural Sciences Institute (BSI) at SMU received a S$4.5 million grant from the Civil Service College. The funds, to be disbursed to the BSI through the Civil Service College over a three-year period, will be used to build Singapore's capabilities in behavioural sciences by supporting the Institute's activities in research, training and education, as well as industry outreach and application. Mr Lionel Yeo, Dean & CEO of the Civil Service College and Deputy Secretary of the Public Service Division and Professor David Chan, Director of BSI and Deputy Provost of SMU at the signing ceremomy on 11 May 2010.
SMU Challenge 2010 flagging off from LKCSB building
- SMU Challenge was a charity walkathon held on 10 October 2010 to raise funds. Organized by SMU's Special Interest and Community Service Sodality organized the SMU Challenge 2010 which rallied the SMU community ā from senior management, staff faculty to students and alumni to raise funds for daily necessities and cash for needy elderly staying in one-room HDB flats.
